Position Purpose:
Our client is seeking dedicated and experienced case managers to join their team and manage the spending of member funds through clinical interventions and the application of managed care protocols. Your role will be critical in optimizing patient care and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize clinical interventions and managed care protocols to optimize the utilization of member funds.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure that medical treatments are in line with best practices.
- Assess the medical needs of patients and provide recommendations for cost-effective care.
- Facilitate patient access to appropriate healthcare services and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families.
- Document case management activities and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals and standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in managed care.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of general medical and surgical nursing experience in the private sector.
- ICU training and/or at least 1 year of ICU nursing experience.
- At least 1 year of hospital case management experience will be advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Nursing Degree/Diploma.
- Professional Registered Nursing Sister with a valid and up-to-date registration with the South African Nursing Council.
